FRESH START PROGRAM
Who is the program intended to serve?
Adults – 19 years and over -- who:
- Struggled in school with learning disabilities or challenges that limited their success.
- Continue to struggle in our community because of their low skills in reading, writing and math.
- Want to increase their chances for employment and personal satisfaction through education.
What does it involve?
Weekly classes and drop-in lessons:
- Offered FREE of cost through School District No. 57 and the BC Ministry of Education by a provincially certified teacher.
- With support from local agencies that help adults in our community.
- In a non-threatening classroom with other students who have similar backgrounds.
Where and when will classes be held?
- Northern Family Health Centre – 2666 Queensway
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays – April 1 to June 30
